“No, honey, we’ve just stopped at the ISS to fill up fuel. “What? I missed the whole flight? Oh NO!” cried Rob, aware that his rocket ride was well over. He thought that he had fallen asleep at the Helioport, but they were inside the business class hotel of the rocket now. Rob finally had a sane view at his surroundings. “Are you all right? Should we call for help?”įreshly awoken, Rob gave a lion’s yawn and rubbed his sluggish eyes and smacked his lips for taste.

“Momzie, I don wanna do,” mumbled Rob in that same careless voice. “Rob, honey, the rocket’s going, come on!” The only bit that made sense was the last: Larjsieh, which at least sounded like Larsen, but nothing else was remotely close to what the note had said, and. All the permutations, cyphers, and cryptic codes were analyzed along with Latin, Greek, Old English- nothing seemed to produce decent results. They had passed on the note to a mathematician at a local university who was unable to make heads or tails of it. For one, Robert had assumed that the “word” Hjsh meant “Love”, but why were there two h’s? If it was a cypher, every letter would stand for something else. Rob and his mother had tried to decipher the three-year-old-esque typed note, but nothing added up. Rob’s father had left moolah and a note which no one could make sense of: This was the first time that Rob’s mother had bought such lavish tickets to a WAC game. Rob had been adopted from an orphanage by his mom and dad, and then his dad had disappeared. They both new that a mansion was easily inside their budget, but attention was not needed for the two of them, and they hushed their money’s voices. His father had left a lot of money (enough to sustain the family for at least a lifetime) that Rob and his mom just used to sustain themselves. When he asked about his father, his mom could only assume that it was for a WAC player’s safety.Īfter the tedious security checkpoint, Rob grabbed a burger at McDonald’s and waited in the business class lounge. Rob assumed that he used a Helioport a lot, but his mom explained that WACcers go to special airports with the fastest rockets and first class planes. All they knew was that he was in Canada holding a rubber puck. Rob’s father’s life was a mystery: no one near him, not even his mom, could remember his past. He longed to board his Business-Flyer Hotel Seat with his mom inside to rocket for the thirteen day flight, but they had to carry out the Helioport processes first, as instructed by his mom. Immediately, his eyes were drawn to the entrance gates, where the rockets were shining in Titus’s blinding rays of luminescence.

He had lived in a two-layer Human Apartment Unit (HAU) all his life. The only problem is thatĪs Rob walked inside the Helioport, he was awestruck by the technology. The charter allowed the international trading of athletes, more defined rules, and a better playing environment for everybody. The WAC was a huge department of sports that was given the highest priority in each participating government. He played in the ice hockey division in the Canadian WACs. His father was a WACcer, or an athlete in the WAC program. Rob was going with his mom, who was a huge fan of the New City club, because her grandfather and grandmother had both lived in the city’s Earth sister, New York. At first, the star was too far to provide decent heat, so the scientists had wait on the RocketHotel Ships and wait until the nearby planet Aprodidee, filled with sheets of pinks and violets, drew closer to use the gravitational pull as a reverse, propelling Vitruvia towards the inferno of Triton. The star Triton served a sun’s purpose by powering Vitruvia. The life was minimal, but after the humans had cultivated it, it resembled the father of earth, with a vaster ocean and better landscape. It had oxygen and water stored in underground aquifers. The humans found the Saleire System, and a planet called Vitruvia to reside on. This year’s game marked the 100th year’s anniversary when the humans left Earth and departed to Andromeda to continue the existence of their being. The Playoffs of the Year 2168 were about to begin with the most heated rivalry in the World Athletic Charters, or the huge international sports league. Located a few thousand miles off of the nebula in the Saleire System in Andromeda, the dome, the size of a Vitruvian City, stood proudly, anthropogenically boasting its new two million seat capacity or its rooftop dome to prevent Solar Flares from the star Triton from harming the players.

His friends from school spoke of it as some worthless hobby, but Rob was unable to express to anyone how greatly he felt of riding a space shuttle to every child’s dream: the Solar Space Stadium. Rob Larsen was about to enter the Helioport for the first time in his life.
